Open the two pictures you want to work with

Select all (Ctrl+A) in Picture 2. Copy and paste into Picture 1. Set the layer transparency to 50%.

Then use the Eraser tool get rid of everything that shall not be in the picture. Use a big brushsize (about 65-100 p)
